The Ravens being ass is probably a surprise, as a Ravens fan anyway. Yeah they have a 3-5 record at the moment and with a healthier team they could run the table a bit and end in the playoffs but Jackson being gone for so long and the defense looking horrible for that stretch was rather shocking
The Colts and Daniel Jones are probably the #1 most surprising things honestly. Everyone thought Jones was cooked in his last season with the Giants, and going to the Colts (24th is passing in 2024) wasn’t seen as a great move. But here we are, with the Colts probably the best team in the AFC (They currently have the best record at 7-1)
New England being rather good I think is a surprise (4-13 in 2024 and being 31st in Offensive Yards in 2024). And granted their schedule at the beginning hasn’t be the biggest challenge (The only teams they have faced thus far with winning records are Pitt and Buffalo) so the second half should be interesting with a 2nd game against Buffalo and Tampa coming, and even maybe Baltimore depending on what happens. (But we could say the same with Indy as they haven’t faced a Murders Row of opponents either)
Is Green Bay being good a surprise? No not really I guess, they were pretty good last year but I think the Packers humbling the Lions was a surprise, we expected a shootout and got a stomping which since its divisional shouldn’t be surprising (They still have Philly and a 2nd game with Detroit which should be fun to watch)
But what do you think? What are some surprises we’ve seen thus far in the League, good ones or bad ones, let’s hear it! (Let’s try and be civil)
