I feel like every newer show that I watch to the end (that didn’t get cancelled, so actually had a proper finale) has a series finale that is either really great, ties everything together, usually emotional. Or it just ends up being complete garbage, unsatisfying, maybe it ruined the show or maybe that show ran on too long and had been bad for a while. Theres also some shows that have more controversial finales where some people love them and some hated them, but I can’t think of any shows where you just had an average finale that wasn’t great, but wasn’t terrible either.
