Liam Hemsworth would have made an amazing witcher, if he had been cast from the start. But, him taking Cavill’s place is what’s throwing people off. It’s not that he’s a bad actor; he’s just not Cavill…and so, his mannerisms don’t fit what we’re expecting from Geralt. The witcher used to come across as not showing emotion on his face, even though you knew what he was feeling under the surface. That created a deepness to his character, and a sense of tension.

Liam’s witcher would be much more pleasant to be around if we were thrown into that world. He wouldn’t have that sexy broodiness, but he would be someone you’d feel more like you could open up to and trust.

Edited to clarify: I mean this statement for people who haven’t read the books or played the games. Liam would make a good witcher to people who aren’t expecting the character to stay true to the other source materials.
