How many times have teams leaving conferences won the championship the last year in the conference they departed, like Texas and OU may do this year in in the Big XII.

The ones I can name are

• WVU 2011 Big east
• TCU 2011 MW
• Texas 1995 SWC

Who else is on this list. And preferably major conferences, like of the 3 I named winning the mountain west isn’t that impressive, and everybody was leaving the SWC so whoever won that year would be on this list. I guess the only one who won a major conference on their way out the door is WVU
