I’m watching a Halloweem episode of Home Improvent and damn their theme song SLAPS! Got me thinking about others from the past. Because now we live in an era where there’s “skip intro” options. My wife always presses it. I’m like, “You gotta leave it on to set the mood.” I think the majority of TV theme songs today don’t even have singing. It’s possible Stranger Things had the last theme song to reach the mainstream zeitgeist. I’m surprised theme songs/music aren’t recognized by most awards show. Some full versions of theme songs have become legit chart toppers and qualify for Grammys. What a fascinating side of TV history.
