As a Cal fan, the worst part of the Wilcox era has been how irrelevant we are. Nine years of no winning conference record. we’re always bad. I was too young to remember the Tedford years, but it seems like we had so much more talent back then.
We had multiple five stars and were putting so many dudes in the NFL, and had that 2004 season and 2007. Even 2009. We’ve had 3 horrible chancellors in a row with athletics prior to Lyons, so I hope he can get us back to the good old days and beyond.
I feel like people on here aren’t harsh enough on Wilcox. It isn’t that hard to win at Cal.
