I’m not saying it’s always like that, but it happens quite often — a show has amazing first seasons that most of the audience agrees are great, and then at some point, either in the middle or toward the end, the plot starts to decline a lot and never manages to recover. I know it’s a subjective thing — for example, with Dexter, a lot of people say the show got bad after season 4, but for me it only got bad in season 7.

I just keep wondering how shows that had writers capable of creating such good stories for a large audience can change so much that they end up making people hate the story. And when they replace the writers, how do they pick someone with such questionable ideas? Don’t they have any kind of process to choose people with better ideas?
