On his weekly call with 97.1 The Ticket this morning, Dan Campbell confirmed that after the illegal motion flag was thrown, the ref explained to him that the call came from New York.
After the game, Craig Wrolstad told the press that there was no outside help from New York on the call.
Now, it seems the call was correct, but it does beg the question: Can New York call in and have flags thrown whenever they see a penalty that the on field refs miss?
