20 years ago today, America's terror wars came home. 3,000 Americans were killed. That terrorism occurred as a direct result of American intervention in the middle-east.
Lots of people will remind us all that 20 years ago, "America Changed", the Patriot act was written, the global war on terrorism started, and you started getting your ballsack rubbed by the back of some preverts hand before you entered airplanes. The truth about why these attacks occurred was never suppressed, but not many people actually go out of their way to tell it. Therefore, the de facto reality of the situation is that most people, whether they scoff or not, don't know why the attacks occurred and might as well believe that the terrorists "Hate us for our freedoms".
I assure you, whether the attacks were ethically justified or not (they weren't), the reality of the situation is that the terrorists had plenty of reason to hate us, and if Bin Laden hadn't masterminded the whole thing, somebody else would have. Bin Laden just happened to have been trained by the US Government in this sort of thing, so he became the ringleader. The rest were all willing to die to avenge the American atrocities that they'd witnessed. America made those terrorists.
Cause. Effect.
America made those terrorists by supporting Israel's fascistic oppression and control of Palestinians. America made those terrorists by helping Israel murder thousands of innocent people, and keep the rest under a nightmarish state of constant and unending oppression, and if you lived there you might be so inspired to commit atrocities to "avenge" it. If you hated the Coronavirus lockdowns, imagine if that was your entire life, and if instead of a virus occasionally killing people, it was artillery fire that targets your home. If you grew up there and you saw it, you'd be a terrorist, too. Cause. Effect.
America also made those terrorists by starving Iraqis through economic sanctions. So many conservatives these days use "Sanctions" like it's some sort of mild antidote used to pee-pee slap someone for misbehavior, they are totally ignorant of the suffering it causes to people within the borders of that country. As Ron Paul said, "Sanctions are an act of war". Well, this Clinton-era act of war cost the lives of at least half a million Iraqi children. Remember how pissed off Americans got over 3,000 people being killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks? Now, imagine the utter contempt and anger that would be the result of at least half a million children getting killed. That's about as many men, women, and children died in the civil war, and Americans haven't gotten over that one in over 100 years (credit to JFK who observed something similar in regards to nuclear weapons, and was offed for it). If you witnessed the devastation in Iraq, you'd be a terrorist, too. Cause. Effect.
And now, we're seeing Americans starting to get treated like how America has always treated people in the middle east. The current dictator seems like he wants to encourage American-terrorists to spawn into existence and fight for what they believe in. We're witnessing Biden, a man who gleefully started working on the "Patriot" act before the dust even settled in NYC, now pushing more authoritarianism. We see him take office and immediately bolster "Security" at the capital by having it occupied with thousands of soldiers. He's someone who appears to want war with the American people.
When you leave a bicycle unlocked on a sidewalk, someone will steal it.
When you build a giant fence near a protest, someone will climb it.
When you murder millions of people, someone will try and avenge it.
I'm not saying it's justified, or that it's right, or proper. I'm just saying it's a fact.
What happens when you lock down Americans?
Cause. Effect.
When American-terrorists start setting buildings on fire, shooting their guns, and giving Biden what his actions may generate, he will likely respond by trying to "clamp down" on more freedoms. Maybe that was the point. Maybe that was his goal. Maybe he's just stupid. Maybe he's just stuck in a habit and always has the same answer for everything. Either way, cause, then effect.
But, just remember, whether the American terrorists are right or wrong, whether they are justified or not justified, remember that they were inevitable once this course was the one chosen.
This whole sub is angry. I'm angry. We've drawn a line in the sand, we've decided that we will not let Biden's vaccine mandates stand. We're right to be angry, and we're right to say "No".
Now just imagine how angry we'd be if instead of forcing us to get vaccinated, we were instead watching our children starve to death as a result of some American president. Imagine if instead of being locked down supposedly because of "Some virus", we were locked down because there was a foreign infantry platoon outside that ordered us to stay in our homes unless we wanted a bullet.
Think about that today, on the 20th anniversary of the day the American terror wars came home, and think about how we can prevent the world looking this bad 20 years from now. Let's give our kids a better world than the one our parents gave us.
