Despite their constant virtue signaling, it is clear that the left does not give a single shit about anyone owning or operating a small business in america today. These leftest statists praise their shitty big Government politicians who have ruined livelihoods by enacting arbitrary and unconstitutional lockdowns. Meanwhile small mom and pop shops are being closed at an alarming rate. A big part of this is big companies like Amazon completely ripping them off and selling a near identical product that you are now forced to buy online since most small stores are closed. For people who are so anti-big corporations, they are making it extremely easy for companies like Walmart and Amazon to grow even bigger and bigger.
Also, I keep seeing these people get a hard on for the minimium wage increase saying that "If business owners cant pay a living wage then they shouldnt be open". Do these people not realize just how thin margins are for a lot of these businesses? Even before the pandemic most restaurants operate on razor thin margins so saying that unemployment will somehow defy basic economics and magically not go up somehow is nonsensical.
