With 13 FBS schools the state of Texas could easily see over half a million people in the stands on any given Saturday if all schools had home games.
So far this year Week 2 represents the high point of attendance with 408,809 fans at 8 games hosted across the state while week 5 saw only 138,040 at 3 games.
This week is the last week to likely challenge for the top spot of the year with 9 games being hosted in the lone star state, but will probably fall a bit short.
Week 9 will probably set the low point around 80,000 as only Texas Tech and Rice host games. The rest of the schools are either on a bye (4) or away out of state (7).
I found it interesting to look at how variable the attendance of games is on any given Saturday or week in the state. What interesting attendance data have you come across related to CFB?
