First off, I want to say I love the enthusiasm to resist on this sub. The calls to not comply with either vaccinations or weekly testing, combined with the vaccinated burning their cards in solidarity, is inspiring.
But let's take a step back here and ask ourselves why Biden made vaccines a condition of employment as opposed to say, seeing the doctor or being in public spaces. It's very possible that this was the easiest path to a mandate he had... but it's also possible they are intentionally going after the current lifeblood of any potential organized resistance we might launch: purchasing power.
If you have a good job and you force your employer to fire you over this, you could definitely get a job working for a small business. But will the pay be the same? Will you have the same ability to prepare for organized resistance at a new job vs. your current one? I know I wouldn't. As an engineer, I would be seeing a steep drop in my income, especially since most engineering firms employ more than 100 people. I'd probably end up at a mom and pop in the service industry.
When it comes to fighting for liberty, we need to balance the short-term with the long-term and get an idea of how things may go down.
Here's how I see this playing out:
The government is already facing an onslaught of lawsuits over this mandate. With any luck, a liberty-minded federal judge will issue an emergency injunction, providing temporary relief to this bullshit while the cases progress through the court system.
There is a chance SCOTUS will overturn this and finally give us a real fucking precedent to overrule Jacobson v. Massachusetts. But don't count on it! Use the legal battle as precious time to prepare, prepare, prepare.
If SCOTUS does not overturn the rule, this gives the government a HUGE precedent to make your participation in society contingent on you injecting yourself with a foreign substance. Grocery stores, gas stations, public land... anything. If you are not ready to handle something like this, then the time is now to get yourself ready. And it's a hell of a lot easier to prepare if you're making decent money with a good work-life balance. It is worth putting up with weekly testing if it gives you the opportunity to be well-equipped for a resistance that could last several weeks, months, or years.
In other words, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
My Plan
I will get tested weekly to keep my job and then start stocking up:
- Guns and ammo
- Gold/crypto
- Non-perishable food
- First aid supplies
- Fuel
- Survival equipment/bugout bags
- Extra money for emergencies and to help others in need
If SCOTUS doesn't overturn the rule, I'll start to refuse testing and vaccination, and probably get fired. Then we will move to whatever state is not enforcing this tyrannical nonsense. We wanted to leave our state anyway. We'd just be doing it more dramatically.
If you are equipped now for the long haul, RESIST. But if you are like me and need to build up inventory, I recommend biting the bullet on weekly testing with a similar approach. Now is not the time to kneecap ourselves.
Stay safe out there. Rough times may be ahead.
Live free or die.
