I wanted to point this out as for over a decade this was single-handedly the dumbest critique of Stafford I had to endure as Lions fan. Don’t get me wrong, he had his terrible moments, but there were dozens of instances where he’d have an amazing performance only to get down by his defense. Shit, in his playoff debut in 2011 he had 4 TDs and 380 yards, - lost by 17. It’s also worth mentioning that he’s 5th in all-time playoff passer rating.

Unfortunately I can’t find any completely up-to-date database on the QB avg win% against >.500 teams, but as of 2021 his 45% as a Ram is better than Rodgers, Brees, Dak, Flacco, and Matt Ryan’s career marks against the same criteria. This is obviously cherry-picking, but it’s fair to say that indicting Stafford for all the Lions woes like some did from 2010-2020 was ridiculous
