Welcome to week 4 of the 2025 r/NFL Power Rankings, and welcome /u/XTTEXTREME, newest Raiders ranker and latest addition to the group! Bless the knees, ligaments, and Baltimore Ravens trainers living at their facility this week after another wave of injuries swept some teams out to sea. Joe Alt, Malik Nabers, and Tyreek Hill are a few stars who sadly won’t be returning anytime soon, but even terrible injuries couldn’t overshadow attempted comebacks on TNF and in Ireland. Jerry Jones certainly had a unique reaction to a tie, but it’s tame considering what he would have done if Jordan Love had lollygagged for one more second. How many girlfriends will Jaxon Dart steal this season after earning the Giants’ first win? Are the Titans actually who most people thought the Saints would be? Who played a fluke game last week, the Panthers or the Falcons? Will the Bengals ever learn to invest in an offensive line? Discuss! 32/32 Reporting

| 1. | Eagles | +1 | 4-0 | It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It was age of the Eagles being undefeated in 18 straight Jalen Hurts complete games, it was the age of not completing a pass in the 2nd half. It was the epoch of beating Dak, Mahomes, Stafford, and Mayfield consecutively; it was the epoch of a perplexingly inconsistent offense with 9 pro-bowlers. It was the season of going 3-1 against the spread, it was the season of cryptic tweets from their star WR. It is the fall of hope, which hopefully will not lead to a winter of despair…. This is the state of the 2025 Philadelphia Eagles. A team that, despite having yet to play an inspiring 60 minutes of football, sits as one of two unbeaten teams. And this has largely been the story of the Nick Sirianni Eagles: everyone knows this team has that second gear, but it’s a matter of if they will be able to find it consistently. In 2023, the answer was no, and an 11-1 start with several question marks ended in collapse. In 2024, after 4 weeks, the Eagles were 2-2 with a loss to the Bucs in Tampa, but (after a long season of trying) were able to put together a strong playoff run en route to the Lombardi. That 2023 season is obviously fresh in the minds of fans with the memory of close wins hiding a flawed football team. But the 2025 Eagles, the defending champs, will get the benefit of the doubt for now, sitting at 4-0. Next up, the Denver Broncos come to town. And definitely nothing dramatic will happen. | |
| 2. | Bills | -1 | 4-0 | The Bills were able to stave off a hungry Saints team to pick up their 14th home win in a row and remain the only unbeaten team in the AFC. The defense definitely struggled in this contest (a recurring theme) especially on the ground giving up 189 rushing yards and struggling to contain Rattler all day. Putting aside the struggles of the defense the consistency of the offense was evident putting up another 30+ points led by the potential best RB in the league. The standings will say 4-0 however the 2025 Bills have looked vulnerable at times instead of the dominance of the previous year. Drake Maye and the Patriots will come into town with plenty of confidence after a 29 point win of the Panthers and the Bills better be on high alert. | |
| 3. | Lions | +1 | 3-1 | The Lions comfortably handled business against a stout Browns defense and uhhhhh whatever their offense is, cruising to a comfortable 34–10 win. Kelvin Sheppard broke out some fascinating 4-linebacker sets in this game, and the Lions secondary snagged a couple of interceptions courtesy of Kerby Joseph and DJ Reed, who will be missing some time with a hamstring injury but is expected to be back this season. Offensively, the line held up nicely against Cleveland’s vaunted defensive line, allowing zero sacks and paving the way for Jahmyr Gibbs to average 6.1 yards per carry on the ground. Next week Detroit heads to Cincinnati, looking to extend their NFC North lead with Green Bay (and Chicago) on byes. Oh yeah, and Alim McNeil is close to returning to practice, so keep an eye on a Week 6 or 7 debut for the Lions best DT if all continues to go well. | |
| 4. | Rams | +4 | 3-1 | Yes, the Colts kind of lost this game more than the Rams won—but there’s still a lot to like here: The Stafford-Puka connection is unstoppable, a lot of defensive pieces are balling out, and gritting out a win against a top team is promising. Some fun stats: Tutu Atwell has earned $5mm per catch this year, Puka set a career high in yards and now has the NFL record for most scrimmage yards per game by a wide receiver at 98.9, and Matt Stafford threw the longest TD of his 17-year career. | |
| 5. | Chargers | -2 | 3-1 | Your Los Angeles Chargers played a football game in which they suffered a mammoth 14 penalties for 107 yards. Justin Herbert ran for his life; he dealt with pressure on 45.8% of his dropbacks due to his best three offensive linemen nursing injuries. JK Scott shanked a punt, and two turnovers fell into the Giants’ lap from tipped passes. Yet, they only lost by three points. Both Hampton and QJ are breaking out. Alt and Becton will be back, at worst, by mid-season. The team is 3-1 and still holds the AFC West crown by a game with tiebreakers to boot. Stop and smell the roses, bolt fam. We’re fine. | |
| 6. | Chiefs | +5 | 2-2 | That was so fucking cathartic. For years we’ve watched a Chiefs team that just plodded along and won games by a few points. For years people have told us that the Chiefs aren’t actually a good football team because they don’t boatrace anyone. Sunday, for the first time in what feels like 3 seasons, the Chiefs beat the fucking brakes off of a team, and not just any old team but a preseason Super Bowl favorite. I’ve said all year if the Chiefs can get through the Rice suspension at 3-3 they’ll be fine, but it’s starting to look like 4-2 is a reasonable goal. | |
| 7. | Buccaneers | – | 3-1 | This was a perfect game if you are paid to force narratives online. Perfect game, I tell ya. You wanna say the Eagles are a juggernaut and a #1 team in the world? You wanna say Eagles are overrated and needed dirty tactics, ref help, and they almost blew the game with a |

| 8. | Packers | -3 | 2-1-1 | That was the dumbest Packer game I’ve ever seen. Even dumber than last week, and that was a really high bar to clear. The offense looked clinical but also completely braindead. The Micah Parsons revenge game saw him make a game-saving play and also give up 40 points. We were both extremely lucky to not lose but also blew a totally winnable game. Special Teams really Found Some Strangers In The Alps if you’re catching my drift. Thank God the Packers have a bye so Lafleur can save his next clock management masterclass for another week. | |
| 9. | Colts | +1 | 3-1 | The Colts were likely one Adonai Mitchell away from a 4-0 start Sunday. Between his inexcusable goal-line fumble during an early celebration and his inexcusable holding penalty that negated a 53-yard Jonathan Taylor touchdown run, “AD” single-handedly took away two Colts scores in what ended up being a one-score road loss to the Rams. But he wasn’t the team’s only big problem. Washed former All-Pro cornerback and accused revenge porn distributor Xavien Howard is now unplayable for football reasons (instead of just moral ones) after allowing 7 catches for 112 yards and a touchdown. Matthew Stafford had a 155.6 passer rating when targeting receivers covered by Howard (mainly Puka Nacua). And let’s not forget the Rams’ wide-open, game-winning TD, which saw the Colts put only 10 defenders on the field. The good news is that the Colts were still entirely in this game, which bodes well for their ability to continue competing against stronger teams. But first: Back-to-back home games against the Raiders and Cardinals before a trip back to LA to face the Chargers. | |
| 10. | Seahawks | +4 | 3-1 | You hear that?? That’s the sound of the Seahawks going on a 3-game … |
