So I just finished Alice in Borderland S3 and yeah, Netflix totally hinted at an American version in that diner scene. But honestly… I don’t think we need it.

The whole charm of AIB is that it’s rooted in Japan — the setting, the culture, even the way the characters think and interact. Moving it to New York or LA would just make it feel like another generic survival show. We already saw how badly “Americanized” versions of anime/manga can flop (Death Note anyone?).

And it’s funny, because Netflix did the same thing with Squid Game teasing an American expansion. Feels more like a cash-grab than actual storytelling.

Sometimes shows should just stay true to their roots. Alice in Borderland works because it’s unapologetically Japanese. It doesn’t need a western remix.

What do you guys think — would you watch an American AIB or should Netflix leave it alone?
