Just finished this season and saw some comments and just wanted to say:

The characters we got were NO WHERE CLOSE to the ones we got in seasons 1-2. That’s just the issue with trying to introduce a whole new roster of side characters and only having 6 episodes with them -> in fact it’s not even 6, it’s more like 4 and a half. Like we really only get to see the background of Tetra and his drug issues and Ryuji, and then EVERYONE ELSE has their background story and stuff squeezed between glimpses in the last game, Potential Futures, and reminder that that’s 6 entire characters within like 1 episode, obviously you’ll be able to see where that could go horribly wrong. Compare this to season 1 and 2, and how we are able to see the character development and the backgrounds throughout both seasons - they get like a total of 3x as much as in depth, screen time, and lore compared to this season. And I also feel like it’s a too big - too small situation. They tried to incorporate all of these side characters (like 10+), and just couldn’t choose a select few to specifically zone in on, an overall just confusing (like who TF was the girl that attacked Natsu in the kick the can game after Shion’s death, and why did she even do that???) In season 1 and 2, we have a total of like 8-10 and THATS SPREAD ACROSS TWO SEASON WITH 8 EPISODES EACH. Like are we serious right now??? And not I mention how angry I was when ann got a total of 10 MINUTES OF SCREEN TIME. She could have been so useful in the games, and would have probably instantly saw through the potential futures as an “illusion/mindgame” (cause it kind of was, as we see everyone get their happy ending even though they didn’t all choose the “good” doors in the game). She was actually SUCH a good character (grew a lot in season 2), and I really would have liked to see more of her rather than just sit around for 4 episodes. Obviously, I am only talking about the characters in this post, I am NOT saying season 3 was completely bad, cause there were a lot of good things in there (better than Squid game season 3 at least), so take this with a grain of salt. I am just saying that the characters was one of the blaring faults I had with the season. Feel free to disagree if you want, this is just my personal take on the situation.
