The left is all about 'ending income inequality', which really means take sh!t from people who have it and giving it to themselves. Straight up modern barbarians committing the theft and plunder of wealthy settlements and people by modern democratic means.
Then they wonder why their 'perfect societies' turn to shit and no one wants to live there.
They have never considered that income inequality can actually produce positive results for the entire society. Take this video talking about the very rich now putting money into anti-aging research. They're billionaires and like the rest of us, they want to live forever, but the tech isn't there yet.
For someone like Bezos, it doesn't matter to him in the slightest if he pays a couple billion dollars to achieve life-extension, that literally pays for itself for him. But through him, we will all end up getting access to the kind of tech developed as a result.
And what's even more hilarious is that the rich kick off these kinds of technologies by being the ultra-premium market, the very first customers for things that human beings want, but they also pay the absolute most money for what ends up being the absolute crappiest version of that technology.
Look at how much people paid for cellphones back in the 80's, when the only point of having one was to use it in your luxury car because the battery would've been too big to carry around, or if you did carry it around it was literally the size of a brick with like a 30 minute battery life. The first cellphone was actually invented back in the 1930's, but it was the nationalization of the telephone companies that prevented that tech from developing until after the telephone companies were broken up.
So the rich pay for the tech to be developed--we get access to that tech essentially for free therefore, in the sense that WE did not have to pay for it to be developed in the first place.
And the rich end up getting the crappiest version initially, because it's still in prototype phases and the kinks are being worked out, etc., but ultimately once those kinks do get worked out and the price brought down through maturation of the tools, the people doing this begin to realize that every human being alive will likely want access, and they begin to gear towards the mass market.
Because being created for the wealthy sector, there are only so many wealthy to have as customers. The REAL money to be made is in the mass market.
So inevitably the business gears towards the mainstream and opens it up to everyone, and everyone benefits. This was true of just about every mass market product in history, and it will be true of life extension tech and things like robotic servants and the like.
The left never seems to even consider that the rich can have positive economic benefits to everyone in society, but this is at least one of them.
