The Quadrant system categorizes wins into one of four quadrants, very similar to how College Basketball does things.
The Quadrant of a win is determined by ESPNs SP+ rating and location of the game (Home, Away, Neutral).
Quad 1 wins are the best, Quad 4 are the worst.
A system such as this would actually incentivize teams to play tough non-conference games and tough schedules.
Michigan and USC would be unranked if this was done with every team in the country as they have only won Quad 4 games.
