My vote is for Yellowstone.
Complete and utter edgelord garbage. It’s baffling because Sheridan has written good stuff before but the dialogue in this show is just so mind numbingly dumb. Every single scene is just a build up to some corny one liner that everyone delivers in the most dramatic way to sound cool but it just comes off as so lame.
This show tries so hard to be intelligent but the dialogue makes it so stupid. It’s eye rolling and cringe inducing. Everything is made to sound clever but it all just sounds like the characters rehearsed it beforehand. Anything Rip Wheeler says, for example, sounds like he practiced it in the mirror for an hour before saying it to somebody. It’s unintentionally hilarious sometimes because it takes itself so seriously. It thinks it’s Shakespeare. I don’t get the appeal.
This applies to all of Sheridan’s shows as a matter of fact.
