*This is a weekly thread to discuss football in the Big 12. Discussion should be limited to football in the conference.*

That was pathetic. This game removes any hope for a turnaround this season. Confirmation about the other losses. That was our worst outing against Texas since 2005. It was normal back then, but it’s been a long time since it was just a given that Texas would dominate us like that. What an unfortunate way to end the series. And it’s just a long series. It is NOT a rivalry. It drove me crazy seeing so many people try to claim it as a rivalry last week. We’ve played a lot, yes, but that doesn’t make a rivalry.
I can’t even bring myself to say “maybe we can get one against UCF,” since I was there in Phoenix and still have nightmares. I think we’re back to being the doormat of the conference. I know that makes most of y’all happy, so there you go.
I don’t think Aranda will be fired this season. I don’t know if our woes are just from Rhule’s guys being gone, Joey McGuire being gone, or what. I don’t know if we’ll ever be top 10 again, but oh well. Eeyore moment over.
I didn’t get to watch any of the other games this week, so I don’t have many comments. It’s unfortunate to see that SMU lost. I’m surprised to see that many points scored in OSU/ISU. Looks like I missed some pretty decent games if they were as close as the final scores indicate.

I started looking for data to help me with the tiers since I can’t watch every game (especially weeks when Baylor is at home). I looked at data from CFP Resume Rankings. It’s a data driven evaluation of resumes mixed in with strength ratings, which is what I was trying to do anyway. Y’all might not care about it, but I’m programmed to give references. It’s not far off from where I already was.
I was close to lumping 1 with 2 and 3 with 4, but for now I think there is enough separation to warrant the 5 tiers.
| Championship Picks |

You can call me hard headed, but I’m sticking with Kansas State as my pick for the conference champion. KSU beats UT in the CCG. I think Texas will be the number one team in the standings headed into Championship Week with at least a game or two of separation over KSU, but KSU repeats as the underdog.
