I’m so conflicted about Alien: Earth, because there’s so much I love about it. Finally we get to see the franchise’s world building on Earth fully explored. The concepts of hybrids is a great take expansion on the concept of the androids and cyborgs. Some of the acting are just top notch (Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther and especially Babou Cessay), and creatures design…the best this franchise has ever been.

But, for god’s sake, I can’t relate to the children, with the notable exception of Wendy. Aside from her, all of them appears to be poorly developed, each one having only on personality trait, they’re all annoying, dumb and (as much as I hate to talk shit about actors), Smee and Slightly are terribly acted. I get it. They’re children, they should behave as children. And this means they’re irritating and can be easily manipulated. But when a show have us following so many characters are just so unlikable, it becomes pretty hard to enjoy.

I feel Alien: Earth would be a top tier TV show if Wendy was the only child, and we could maybe spent more time with Kirsh, and Hermit
