So I’m not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I (18F at the time) had a weird sexual experience when I went home with a guy I met at a bar that I’ve been thinking about recently.
Met a guy at a bar when out with a friend and started chatting. We walked back to mine. On the walk home I told him I didn’t want to have sex. He was in the RAF and had just got back from overseas; he said he missed women and all he wanted to do was cuddle. That was fine with me. I think I was pretty lonely at this point in my life. At one point on the walk back he tried to carry me and I slipped and fell in some mud. Obviously, we were both pretty drunk.
At home I took a shower to get the mud off and when I came out he was naked. We had sex; it was fine. I didn’t object at any point but I also didn’t consent. This is not what I’m talking about when I’m asking about rape, though. That happened the next morning. We both woke up around the same time. He began to have sex with me. He didn’t wear a condom, something I’d insisted he do when we had sex last night. It hurt, and I definitely didn’t want it to happen, but I also didn’t say no or tell him to stop because I was worried he’d hurt me. Also, it honestly felt like it was less effort just to let him fuck me. It didn’t last very long. Afterwards he left and I haven’t seen him since. I had to go get tested for STDs and had a brief moment where I was worried he’d given me HIV. I’m certain that he didn’t think he was doing anything wrong, but the whole situation felt weird and bad even at the time. So, was it rape, assault, or none of the above?
