What losing team do you believe can still turn it around and hit 8+ wins this year?
For me, I’ll go with the Ohio Bobcats.
Yeah, the record looks rough right now, but I think there’s a very real path for them to flip it around. Parker Navarro came back this year, and with his OC stepping into the head coach role, the offense should only get more comfortable as the season goes on.
They’ve already played a brutal slate:
- A close 34–31 loss at Rutgers shows that really could have gone either way.
- They knocked off West Virginia at home, which isn’t an easy win.
- Then they had to go on the road to No. 1 Ohio State, which is basically a guaranteed loss for any G5 team.
The hardest part of their schedule is behind them and it should get easier from here. They’ve got an FCS opponent and then MAC play, and the conference has looked shaky so far. 8 wins is perfectly in reach for them.
