Sometimes I feel like Reddit low-key rewires my brain when it comes to shows. There are so many characters I genuinely liked when I first watched something. But the moment I hop on Reddit and start scrolling through all the “hot takes,” criticisms, and breakdowns, my own perspective shifts.

It’s not even intentional , I’ll tell myself “nah, I like this character, I won’t get influenced.” But after reading enough posts, I slowly start to notice the same flaws people point out, and eventually, I end up hating or disliking them too.

What’s wild is that this only happens after exposure to online opinions. Before that, I was fine with the character, sometimes even loved them.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think Reddit makes us more critical, or are we just too suggestible when we see arguments repeated over and over?
