In a game ending in the way OSU/ND ended, with a walk-off touchdown with no time left, why would Ohio State kick the extra point? I completely understand that the play has to be run, according to the rules. And I understand why. But why would the winning team ever consider kicking it? There is absolutely no upside. The only potential game-changing thing that can happen is a fluke blocked kick, run back the other way.
Why not just get into victory formation, take a knee and guarantee the win?
