Defence Secretary John Healey said the UK would “stand with Poland” and back a stronger NATO deterrence posture on the alliance’s eastern flank. “As your NATO ally, we will support you, our Polish friends. As your NATO ally, we will play our part in ensuring the security of your nation,”
Healey said on Wednesday after talks in London with counterparts from France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Ukraine. He added that Vladimir Putin “is testing us again,” noting that 300 British troops are already stationed in Poland.
