Obviously there are a few where this happens, spin-offs being the prime example… they tend to be one after the other in terms of timeline, and generally fairly similar in style (better call Saul & breaking bad an exception)

I’ve always thought it would be cool to have two completely different styles of TV show playing out at the same time, following the same big themes, but not necessarily needing to watch one to follow the other.

Example:

Show 1: Workplace comedy. (Superstore , the office, or similar).

Show 2: Highbrow drama. (Industry, succession, billions, or similar)

The same major theme (new competitor coming into the market?) could be played across both series…

Has anything like this ever been done?
