First, a little background on my relationship with The Three Musketeers. I never read the books, and from the various movies over the years, I’ve only seen “The Musketeer” (2001). The appeal of this series was that film and that it co-starred Santiago Cabrera who co-starred in the front 2 seasons of Star Trek: Picard as Cristóbal “Chris” Rios, one of my favorite characters. I watched the pilot a while back, but it felt like the show expected me to have read the books or seen some of the movies. I got halfway through the 2nd episode recently and tuned out for that same reason.
Are there any fans of the show here? Is there anyone like me who’s virtually unexposed to the lore of The Three Musketeers but still enjoyed the show? What am I missing? Is it just not for me? I want to like it, because I love the 2001 one film so much, plus Santiago Cabrera is in it.
