I’ve been rethinking the end of game of thrones and I feel like the show needed at least 3 more seasons to really do the story justice. Season 8 was way too rushed and so many huge plotlines got crammed into just a handful of episodes. In my mind season 8 should have been purely about the war with the night king and the white walkers. That was the buildup for years and instead of one rushed battle it deserved an entire season to show the scale, strategy etc. Then season 9 could have focused entirely on daenerys versus cersei. Two queens fighting for the throne could’ve been an amazing season long conflict with the politics and betrayals that the show was always best at. Finally season 10 should have explored what westeros would look like under daenerys’s rule or how her downfall would actually play out if they wanted to keep that angle. It would’ve given time to show her transformation (or spiral) properly instead of it feeling like it came out of nowhere.
Am I the only one who feels like the story needed a few more seasons?
