Just wanted to say how much I loved Long Story Short—as a Jewish woman from New York, there’s something so familiar about it. My family wasn’t exactly like the Schwoopers, but that chaotic, loving, slightly unhinged energy? Yeah, I know it well.

Shira is hands-down my favorite character. Her timing, her dry wit, the way she balances being completely over-the-top and totally grounded—it’s perfect (I’m also biased because I have a ridiculously strong crush on Abbi Jacobson). That said, the Dave Franco character (I’m blanking on his name, sorry!) is a close second. I knew so many guys like that growing up—obnoxious, clueless, a little too confident, and somehow always around. Every family had the kid with THAT friend.

The mix of outlandish humor with that very specific deadpan delivery really works for me. It feels fresh but familiar, and it’s honestly just really fun to watch.

Anyway, it’s awesome. Go check it out.
