never watched game of thrones when it first came out, even though i was a huge lord of the rings fan at the time. for some reason i just didn’t get into it back then, but now i’m wondering if it’s worth starting. i know it’s highly rated and people always talk about how big it was, but since it started in 2011 i’m a bit worried the production will feel dated now. does the look of it still hold up, or does it feel like old tv compared to what we have today? the other thing is there are loads of episodes and seasons. i don’t really want to spend months watching something if it’s going to end up being underwhelming, especially since i’ve heard mixed things about the later seasons.
has anyone here started it recently for the first time? did it still feel worth the time? thanks
