I just started watching St. Denis and the head nurse is exactly who I’m talking about. She always seems uncomfortable, there doesn’t seem to be anything interesting about her, and it’s almost painful to watch her go about her day. I get that there are a lot of people in the world that are like this, but I don’t think it makes for good TV. Other shows that I stopped watching because of this were Too Much and the new Mr. and Mrs. Smith remake. I know there are others, I just can’t think of them right now. I do think there is a space for these types of characters, but they have to be done well if they’re going to be a major character. Does anybody else feel this way?
