Typing my thoughts out as I’m watching the episode:
- The baby sperm alien screaming is one hell of a defense mechanism.
- When Wendy started projecting the alien sounds - bihhhhhhh, get me out of this room rn!
- The moment Boy Cavalier said, “Sure you can speak French but can you do that [regurgitate alien]?” to Curly, I felt the plot (for the rest of the series) slant its eyes because that was fucked up.
3a. Further confirmed with BC’s later statement, “it’s my world, he just lives in it.”
- Holy shit, the chills I got when Kirsh was watching BC do his audiobook of Peter Pan and there were quick brainwashing flashbacks. It’s the continuing disturbance in contrast between the fantasy novel we know and the horror unfolding before us for me. So good.
- Morrow and Slightly - whewwww honey. The manipulation was hard for me to watch but both actors were excellent 🤌🏼. “It’s not a riddle.” “(Morrow shakes his head) a moral inquiry.” “… if you want to do the moral thing, you will give back what you stole. Restitution.”
- Once again, Kirsh is daddy. 6a. I want that Speak/See/Hear no evil wall piece. 6b. OMG THE DILEMMA IS TEA, DADDY KIRSH VS. MORROW
- 🐙+👁️=👁️🗨️(🐏) Wtf was that. I am having nightmares tonight. Possibly more horrific, BC attracted to its intelligence.
- “He breaks the rules, he takes risk. Maybe that’s why he’s so far ahead.” “Yeah, but that’s not science. Idc how rich you get, it either is or it isn’t.” [🔥🔥🔥, Jurassic Park ‘94 energy]
- ‘Metal on Silicone’ to announce pregnancy followed by the follow up therapy scene was both fucked up, intense and deep (cinematography, writing and acting). I want to dive in but it’s so layered I don’t know where to begin. Someone please help me articulate it. Side bar: Idk what synthetic human is but the actor for Nibs 100% portrayed it (those close up shots though). Kirsh is hot and very good, but ranks second, as his portrayal is more familiar.

- I love the name scene with Kirsh and Toodles. Makes it tough to remember “Toodles” is synthetic. Someone please help me articulate this as well lol.
- OH SHIT, KIRSH LISTENING THIS ENTIRE TIME. (Slightly’s mom 😭, omg Morrow is devious)
- Wendy’s brother talking to the others about the big five. They are doing such a great job portraying these complex roles.
- Wendy, once again, is Amelie mixed with Linda Cardellini’s portrayal of Velma from Scooby Doo.
- Someone please tell me Slightly isn’t planning on capturing Wendy’s brother to use as alien face hugger bait. Also is this simulated envy? How does that work?
- Wendy and newborn. I am speechless. Wowowowow. (Also, all I can think of is “can I pets the danger worm”)
