Welcome back for “Week 1” of the 2025 season! This week is Lee Corso’s last (at least for now) time on College Gameday. It’s his official farewell show, so I will definitely watch. Gameday just won’t be the same without him. Part of me wants to say I won’t watch any future Gamedays since he is Gameday, but I know I’ll cave eventually.

As of now, my “permanent” ban has been lifted, so hopefully we can finish the season without any more big technical difficulties like last week. And just to clarify, that had nothing to do with the mods of r/CFB - it was a Reddit “account security” situation apparently. Anyway, back to football!

Farm O’Geddon was a fun way to start the year. It was a good game with what felt like some back and forth even though ISU was the only one that ever had a lead. It also had absolutely no questionable decisions in the fourth quarter…

  • Kansas 31 - Fresno State 7

Jalon Daniels and the rest of the Jayhawks met expectations by taking care of Fresno State in the opener. This wasn’t necessarily something to build on from a hype standpoint, but it’s always nice to meet expectations/win the OOC games early in the season.
