Nowadays, shows take so long to release a new season that by the time the new season drops you have completely forgotten the plot and the characters from the last season. I was watching the new season of Wednesday and I have absolutely no memory who the characters are or what had happened in the first season.
I understand it takes longer to produce new seasons due to larger quantity of shows being made and the higher production quality. But I feel like as a consumer there is no fun in watching 8 episodes and then having to wait 2-3 years for another 8 episodes. Not to mention a lot of shows are unnecessarily dragged out just because it has good ratings/views like the second season of squid game.
Anyways, this was just a little rant I had about the state of TV shows in 2025.
