It is so sad to see that because of the new streaming era and shows being cancelled left and right, that we don’t get to have great shows with 4+ seasons or 50+ episodes anymore. People often point to Chernobyl or Band of Brothers as greatest TV Shows which are obvsiouly very great but they are very different experiences than shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, The West Wing, Breaking Bad, The Shield, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Friday Night Lights and so on, where they evolve through different eras and arcs. Even so-called weaker stretches took some risks and as a whole are still very incredible. I’m specifically talking about 40-60 min drama shows. Comedies still run longer, maybe less than before, than most dramas nowadays. In recent years some great shows that have atleast 3 seasons would be Succession , The Boys & Stranger Things (ending next year), Better Call Saul, Ozark, Snowfall You can recommend me some more I may have missed but I feel like they were either not that popular or not that great as that originally named list
