Would you rather a show you like get a bad ending that you don’t like or just get cancelled before the last season and never finished?

I personally would rather a show have a bad ending that at least gives closure than be cancelled. I was wondering what other people would think about this as I see some people saying they wish shows like Dexter or GOT get cancelled than have the endings they got. Thoughts?
