Original Sin was the most watched Showtime show in at least 10 years before Resurrection came out. Resurrection beat its own record set by Original Sin. So, Original Sin is basically the second most watched Showtime show in 10 years.
If they are happy to cancel the second most watched show on the channel, then what stops them from canceling Dexter: Resurrection? Especially when it’s so much more expensive than Original Sin? This is genuinely worrying me. I don’t want the show to end now. It’s like the only thing I ever look forward to nowadays.
It’s not that I’m mad they canceled the show, but the fact that they canceled the show AFTER a renewal. The cast and crew thought the show was renewed for months before the studio said “sike” and canceled it. A renewal should always be a promise to the audience that it’s safe for at least one more season. It should honestly be illegal to cancel something that’s already renewed.
