Most Oregon fans would agree on 2 seasons, them being 2007 with Dennis Dixon and 2015 with Vernon Adams. In 2007 the ducks were 8-1 and ranked 2nd in the nation heading into a matchup with Arizona. During the game Dennis Dixon would tear his acl and be ruled out for the year. The ducks would proceed to lose that Arizona game and the next 2 games to fall to 8-4 and competing in the Sun Bowl that year. Lot’s of Oregon fans believe if Dennis Dixon never got injured the ducks could of made it to the title game and possibly won it.

In 2015 Eastern Washington transfer Vernon Adams got injured in Oregon’s 2nd game of the year against Michigan State. The ducks would proceed to lose that game and go 2-2 over the next 4 games before Vernon Adams return. After Adams returned the ducks pulled off a 6 game win streak and got a bid to that years Alamo Bowl where the ducks would jump out to a 31-0 lead before Vernon Adams suffered a concussion. The ducks would then proceed to give up the lead and lose the game in OT 47-41 in one of the most embrassing games in CFB history. If Vernon Adams never got injured the ducks could of been a contender for a NY6 bowl game or even possibly the CFP.
