I’ve picked sitcoms specifically for this answer because I feel like it’s usually more obvious there than in other long running genre shows. There are a lot of sitcoms, wherein characters will act noticably differently in earlier episodes, some lore will be changed and the tone/visual style might become markedly different as the show progresses- but are there any long-running sitcoms in which that doesn’t really seem to happen as much? obviously new characters or ideas will always be introduced but is there a show that feels remarkably tonally consistent from it’s first episode to it’s last?
