I’m shocked about this man’s output. I came to know his work by watching Sicario, Hell or High Water and Wind River and I thought “ok, we got a master of modern western here”. Than I watched Yellowstone and not only is incredibly poorly written, but also apparently contradicts all the politics of his previous work (which is the least important part for me, but it’s worth noting). Landman and Lioness are both unwatchable…but, giving the man a last chance, I decided to give a chance to 1883, basically because the idea of the 100+ years prequel sounded interesting and…damn, it’s good! Not like his movies, but it’s a good show, vastly superior to those I mentioned! I’m even inclined to watch 1923 now.
So…what happens to this man?? How can a writer be so inconsistent to the point that almost doesn’t feel like it’s the same person writing!
