I mean a TV show with an interesting concept, but you feel there was not any solid planning around it, and it shows as the episodes progress.
The best example to me is Kyle XY (2006-2009). I regrettably followed this until the “end”, I mean there isn’t an ending, it was just abruptly cancelled. They interviewed the creator after the cancellation, and asked how the story would continue. She had no idea, and it was sort of “maybe we would do this, maybe we would do that”.
If you watched it at the time, you could understand why it was cancelled. Not just the ratings sucked, but the quality as well. The story got exponentially more stupid each season. The show initially sold itself as a science fiction TV show, but it became more of a teenage drama, and not a very good one.
