I used to bemoan a story ending as a kid because as a fan I could naturally see where the potential was for the next step, but time has proven that we all get what we want if we just wait a little.

I never actually thought the amount of outcry Dexter’s ending got would be a driving force for the rebirth of the series but here we are and I am so far from disappointed with Resurrection and what it does for the universe.

Old players still in the game but their drive has now changed because of the real time that passed in real life that allowed to show how much the characters in fiction have now grown. In hindsight, season 8 was never the end of the story even with how it went down, it was just the ever-evolving stepping stone of what was to come next.

When my mother read The Hobbit to us as a kid, I always got hyped over the idea of a movie and lo and behold got what I wanted even if it wasn’t perfect. When Stars wars Pre-Quels became outdated and the Clone Wars was over, we just had to give it a little for more Star Wars.

So if you’re a story teller or trying to be one, please embrace time.
