With close to my mid 40s, I’ve had a good time to see movies and series, and love seeing familiar faces across shows.
This weekend, I went on a little IMDB- and Wikipedia-bender, and noticed that one of the major characters in one of my most beloved shows (Michael Hogan as Saul Tigh in BSG) has also been a major character in much more minor shows, that I loved as a child: The Peanutbutter Solution and The Little Vampire.
Due to the years and the usual dubbing in my country, I’ve never noticed this connection! I tried very hard to find English versions of the serialized version of The Little Vampire, but could only find the German dubbed ones. Seems like this show was a lot more popular in this region. But I’d love to see/hear it in its actual original audio. I’d appreciate any pointers towards these!
Anyways: I’d love to read about similar experiences. Where you found out, that some actors you didn’t quite care about as a kid, popped up here and there again and again. Mostly for minor roles or shows. Like how the buttler in The Nanny was Doctor Moriarty in ST:TNG
