I think I most recently saw this on The Mandalorian, but mine is when when every episode of a series (season for Americans) the protagonist helps someone, and then in the last episode they call in their favours and a bunch of formerly one-off characters return to defeat the big bad. I couldn’t find a name for this one on TV Tropes, but I’m sure it is one.
