I feel the vibe and energy of the show is perfect but lacks a few things that could make it better and feel more Addams family.
I feel Wednesday going to a “monster” school kind of ruins the whole funny thing about the Addams family which is sticking them into suburban life so they stand out more which makes it funnier. Think family values when they got send to the cheery summer camp. I think if the high school was just an average boarding school without the pupils being monsters it would be a whole lot better. It makes no sense the rest are weirded out etc by Wednesday if they’re all monsters. Keep the murder mystery element even with the hyde but change the design to not look like a zombie from plants vs zombies.
I also think making the Addams family not close defeats the purpose as well. Although there spooky etc there technically the perfect loving non judgemental family which changing that takes away the message
