That’s pretty much it, and I know virtually nothing about herpes. I think most people would run for the hills, but we hit it off so well and thus far, are compatible in lifestyle and direction… I mean it’s super fresh but I was feeling really good about it.
He told me up front, before we met, allowing me the choice and I appreciated how honest he was. He was incredibly nervous telling me.
I want opinions… I have so many questions. And the internet has a lot of conflicting information. I plan to ask my doctor and obviously research more, but I guess I want to know peoples opinions and perspectives on dating someone with herpes. Help!
Edit: I’m not talking about the oral herpes that 3/4 of people have. I’m talking the genital herpes with blisters and flare ups. And I know I just started talking to him and we might meet and not even like each other… I still wanted to hear from others experience to gauge how much energy I should put forth. Sounds like it’s manageable and not the stigma I always thought in my mind. I’m going to research plenty more and take it slow if it goes that way, and I appreciate everyone’s encouragement and perspectives! I take the “facts” in here with a grain of salt and will do my own research, as well, but I appreciate all of the insight!
