So I’m only 3 episodes in but there’s something a little odd about this show. I watched Daredevil Born Again which got totally refitted after 5 episodes and that feels less disjointed/jarring than watching Smoke.
Sometimes it feels like it’s going for something more noir and dark, then it throws in random joke scenes. Sometimes it reveals something huge that you’d think was going to be saved, while other things are being left barely pieced together. And the focal point keeps shifting.
I will say the actors are interesting to watch and it feels overall extremely unpredictable, especially the Milk Jug Man who is both scary and pitiable at the same time. I’m not sure I can recommend it yet but it’s definitely a conversation piece.
