I lived in East NOLA at the time, and spent five days at a hospital during the hurricane and after before getting evacuated by a Chinook helicopter,

Tremé is an amazing story and portrayal of New Orleans post Katrina, Five Days at Memorial is an incredibly accurate portrayal of what it was like to be in a NOLA hospital during and after the storm. It’s about the charges brought against a physician at Memorial and does a great job of delivering a balanced depiction of both sides.
