It’s not uncommon for shows, especially now, to have nudity in it. However, sometimes it can come across as gratuitous and unnecessary. It feels like the creators just wanted to have something shocking in it. I’ve seen complaints about this, specifically with Sydney Sweeney In Euphoria.
With that said, though I don’t think nudity is always necessary, there is a way to include it that adds to the plot or character.
First thing that comes to mind is Cersei’s walk of shame is Game of Thrones. With her being nude, it really added to the humiliation and vulnerability she felt. As a viewer it almost makes you feel bad for her because nobody wants to be in that situation.
